Seven Cardinal Sins by Preston Wooten

"The Seven Cardinal Sins is a series of seven digital illustrations based on the seven deadly sins: Pride, Greed, Lust, Gluttony, Envy, Sloth, and Wrath. Within the Roman Catholic ideology, the seven deadly sins are behaviors or feelings that lead to immorality or other sins. Although the theology may be aged, the sins remain relevant in today's society. I started this collection of work because I was originally inspired by the anime The Seven Deadly Sins. I used this thesis to explore the ideology and create imagery by visually portraying and embodying each sin. Seven Cardinal Sins also allowed me to explore my own art brand called Ragz 2 Stitches through the very cohesive styling of each character. In conclusion, Seven Cardinal Sins are the visual embodiment of the seven deadly sins, as well as an exploration of morality through the original Roman Catholic ideology."
