Echoes of History by Yesenia Maldonado

"Echoes of History is a graphic design thesis project that features three infographic posters with a theme of history. I wanted to create a project that included connecting typography, illustration, and history. Echoes of History displays three historical events from the An Lushan Rebellion, a war that occured in ancient China around the mid eight century, the French Revolution, an uprising revolt in eighteenth century Paris, and the Mexican War of Independence, a revolution in the nineteenth century where the people of Mexico gained their freedom from Spain. 

The idea of this thesis project is inspired by interests in history and art history. Art history is one of my favorite subjects due to the historical Background behind the art of the past. The style of the posters are inspired by two graphic designers, one is an illuatrator and the other who specializes in typography and has given me inspiration to create the infographic poster for this thesis project."
