Name of Research Lab

Biography 

ChongMin Lee has been teaching students since 2014 at Lamar University and runs her research lab titled “Cognition, Mathematics, Language and Learning Lab (CM3L).”  She attempts to unlock the difficulties of learning content areas in Deaf students.

Before joining Lamar, she served as a postdoctoral researcher in the Center Education Research Partnerships for Deaf and hard of hearing students at RIT/NTID under Dr. Marschark’s supervision. 

Her areas of expertise include cognition, research methods, mathematics education, and reading comprehension. Her current projects focus on visual-spatial skills and mathematics performance, concept based teaching and learning in mathematics, predictors of mathematics performance among Deaf students, and ASL learning and attitudes.
