Ms. Black has been honored by various organizations as a woman making a difference in the lives of women and youth, and most recently by the "Pioneering Women" of Southeast Texas. She is certified in Yoga/Meditation, a licensed and ordained minister at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she facilitates the Women's Ministry "Vessels of Hope" and is Director of Music Ministries.

She is the wife of Dr. Oney D. Fitzpatrick, mother of one, Marcus and grandmother of one, Jacob. She enjoys travel, reading and music.

She is the owner of Lady C Makeup Artistry and provides makeup artistry for weddings, photo shoots, class reunions, commercials or any event needing beauty enhancement or makeup artistry.
